共享舞团今年再次和The Garden合作, 在新年前夕，为大众起舞。

把舞蹈从剧场调动出来走入大众的世界是很重要的一个普及教育，尤其是不太懂得剧场的观众，给他们一次看舞蹈的机会，可能结下艺术的缘分。

共享每一年在The Garden的演出几乎成为许多人来观看的习惯，今年是迈入第七年了，高兴看见有的家庭及朋友带着小朋友来，为每一次的演出带来增值的意义。

在马来西亚要开拓未来更宽广的艺术道路，是需要让自己走出更多与观众结缘的机会，每一个地方都是值得播撒艺术种子的地方，有些时候先不要要求可以得到多少回馈，树要成林，先要种植及耕耘树苗。

2018年，我以上海为主题，编创了新作品<爵士上海>，一个融合上海传统，但在编舞上是以新颖的构思带入，服装是传统融合时尚，音乐远远大胆地用了西方创作音乐，西班牙及阿根廷Tango音乐等等打破对上海音乐的习性使用，感谢The Garden高层负责人对作品的赞赏，真的高兴。

今年由于舞团开始和国际有合作的项目，经过与The Garden仔细的谈论，虽然今年舞团无法全程参与所有的演出时间，但我们之间依然保持着这份多年的合作关系，感谢The Garden对我们的喜爱及相信。

大宝森节快乐！

The Thaipusam festival, is an Hindu festival celebrate by the Tamils. It takes place annually during the full moon in the Thamil (10th month) of the Tamil calendar in January or February of the Gregorian calendar.

The festival is a public holiday in six places in Malaysia (Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Johor and Kuala Lumpur). Thaipusam celebrates the birthday of Murugan, the youngest son of Goddess Shiva and the Goddess of Snow Mountain, on which day he received a gift from the Snow Mountain Goddess - a spear that eventually extinguished the Devil named Soorapadman. On this day, believers perform various sacred ceremonies to show their thanks or atonement towards the God.

大宝森节是泰米尔人所庆祝的一个印度教节日，每年在泰米尔历的“泰月”（第十个月）满月时举行，时在公历的一月或二月。

这个节日是马来西亚六地（槟榔屿州、霹雳州、雪兰莪州、森美兰州、柔佛州和吉隆坡）的法定假日。大宝森节庆祝湿婆和雪山女神的幼子战神穆卢干（Murugan）的生日，在这一天他得到了雪山女神的馈赠——一支长矛，最终使其消灭了魔鬼Soorapadman。在这一天，信徒们会进行各种神圣的仪式以示对神明的谢恩或赎罪。

《IN THE MOOD OF SHANGHAI 爵士上海》

As Chinese New Year is just around the corner, we are honoured to be commisioned by The Gardens for the 7th subsequent year to choreograph and present a dance that is synchronised with its decorative theme. This year, back to the nostalgia of the good old time of Shanghai.

Choreographer Anthony Meh created "In The Mood of Shanghai", a mini dance drama depicting a love story that praises the freedom of love to bless everyone with a beloved and happy year ahead.

We are glad to share our dance with everyone through this public performance project which we collaborate with The Gardens to bring arts into the community, especially in conjunction with festive celebration and this means a lot to us as we are celebrating Dua Space Dance Theatre's 20th anniversary this year.
